UPPER SANDUSKY: Dennis Lynn Jordan, Sr. age 62, of Upper Sandusky and formerly of Tiffin, Ohio, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 11:18AM at his home in Upper Sandusky.
Dennis was born on June 24, 1950 in Fremont, Ohio to Carmi J. and Lorena (Riehm) Jordan, both of whom are deceased. He married Joni Reser on July 29, 1989 at Trinity United Church of Christ in Tiffin and she survives.
He is survived by a son, Dennis Jordan Jr. "DJ" of Upper Sandusky; and a daughter, Julia A. Jordan of Columbus; along with a brother, Neil (Barb) Jordan of Tiffin; and a sister, Ruth Lemke of Dayton. Dennis is also survived by his father and mother in law, Lee and Ann Feser of Rotonda West, Florida; and five brother in laws, Jim (Paula) Reser of Tiffin, Joe (Mary Ellen) Reser of Columbus, Jeff (Gayle) Reser of Bucyrus, Jack (Heidi) Reser of Bellefountaine, and Ray (Lisa) Reser of Marysville; and two sister in laws, Janice (Ed) Roman of Columbus and Jill (Jon) Turner of Marysville; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother in law, Darrell Lemke.
Dennis was a 3rd generation farmer having farmed his entire life and also working at American Standard in Tiffin for 27 years until his retirement.
He graduated from Hopewell-Loudon High School in 1968 and went on to get his B.S. in Agronomy from The Ohio State University in 1973.
Dennis was a member of Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky, and also the following organizations, The Ohio State Alumni Association, the National Rifle Association and Promise Keepers.
As a young man, Dennis participated in 4H, where later in served as an advisor and also Future Farmers of America, where he received his state farmers degree.
For hobbies Dennis enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing golf, collecting hats and also Craftsman tools. And being an OSU alumni, he always was following the various Buckeye sports teams.
Dennis will be remembered for his love for his family and his kind and gentle personality.
Memorial services for Dennis Lynn Jordan, Sr., will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. Visitations will be held on Saturday, February 23, from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
