Donna M. Miksel
TIRO: Donna M. Miksel, age 74, of Tiro died Thursday morning at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby. Born July 17, 1938 in Crawford County to Woodrow & Frieda (Kline) Miller, she has been a Tiro area resident the majority of her life. A graduate of Lykins High School, Donna had worked at C.W. White in New Washington as a seamstress. She was a member of the Crouse Memorial Lutheran Church in Tiro and the Gourd Society. Donna enjoyed animals, flowers especially iris, crafts including painting figurines and wood burning on gourds.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Miksel, whom she married October 9, 1967; sister, Nancy Little of Tiro; brother, Roger (Catherine) Miller of Brokensword and sister-in-law, Violet Miller of New Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Kevin Miller and brother-in-law, Mike Little.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday July 23, 2012 at Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby. Pastor Chris Lutz will officiate with internment in Oakland Cemetery in Tiro. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-8 PM. Memorial expressions may be made to the Crouse Memorial Lutheran Church.
