Jennie Lou (Stinehelfer) Swanson, 70, of Auburn, Washington and formerly of Bucyrus, went to be with her Lord November 8, 2012 following a long yet courageous battle with cancer.
She was born August 18, 1942 in Bucyrus to the late Myron "Mike" and Barbara (Holt) Stinehelfer. Jennie owned and operated the Hairdressers Salon in Bucyrus for many years and while living in Auburn, she ran the Hair Station.
She is survived by Charlie Swanson, her loving husband of 24 years; two children, Jo Ellen (Norm) Lesieur of Fredericktown and Jeff Miller along with his son, Zakery Jay Miller both of Ostrander; daughter-in-law, Debbie Miller of Auburn, Washington and her children, James and Tim Miliene. Also surviving are a step-son, David (Angela) Swanson and their children, Alivyah, Lillah and Kolton of Wash.; sister Dixie (Don) Striker of Bucyrus; brothers, Paul Stinehelfer of Bucyrus, Michael (Debby) Stinehelfer of Solon, Ohio and Norris (Barb) Stinehelfer of Upper Sandusky.
Along with her parents, Jennie is preceded in death by her son, Ronald Miller and a brother, Ivan Stinehelfer.
She was a loving mother, sister and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She loved styling and cutting hair and was a former member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12 at Woodlawn UMC, 1675 Hopley Ave. in Bucyrus. Come join her family and bring memories to share.
Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the
