Jimmie V. Pearson

CRESTLINE: Jimmie V. Pearson, Sr. 71, of 619 South Thoman St., Crestline, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, after a short illness.

Jimmie was born in Columbus on June 16, 1941 to the late Walter S. and Mary C. "Connie" (Canning) Pearson. He married Diane M. Bland on December 7, 1990 and she survives him.

Jimmie served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was self-employed as an Auto Body Repairman. He enjoyed working on cars and always felt "there are not enough convertibles in the world." Jimmie was a good-hearted person and would always help anyone in need.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four sons and two daughters; Andy Lewis, Marion, Jodi Lewis, Columbus, Jim Pearson, Crestline, Dr. Richard Lewis and Jay Jacuzzi, Maryland, Matt and Christy Pearson, Milford, MI, Jennifer and Brian Ditz, Berea, seven grandchildren; Marke, Chloe, Samantha, Jaycob, Alexa, Dalton, and Logan, one great-granddaughter, Destiny, one brother, Jack and Anna Pearson, London, two sisters; Mary Patricia Hawk, FL, and Nancy White, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Walter "Chip" Pearson; and infant grandson, Jimmie Victor Pearson III.

Friends may call Sunday, May 12, 2013, from 2-5 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline, with Pastor Diana Seaman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
