BUCYRUS: Mae Swick, 84 years of age, died on Wednesday July 24, 2012 at home, she had been ill for the past 4 1/2 years.
Mae was born September 7, 1927 in Hardin County to the late Pearl and Maybelle (Woodard) Timmons. She was married January 24, 1946 to Raymond Dick Swick who preceded her in death on July 23, 1990.
Mae is survived by daughter, Barbara (Gary) Schiefer, Nevada; sons, Raymond Dick Swick III of West Jefferson and Larry B. Swick of Nevada; three grandchildren, Gary (Gina Tenorio) Schiefer, Westerville, Brenda Crider of Nevada and Craig Schiefer of Columbus; seven great grandchildren, Kenny, Jon, and Taylor Crider, Allen Schiefer, Meghan Murray, Adam Weisenhauer, and Napoleon Tenorio; brother, Elton (Georgia) Timmons of Marion; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by grandsons, Aaron and Andy Weisenhauer; sisters, Katherine Scott, Susan Withers, Betty Hillman, June Bair, and Rilla Timmons; as well as three brothers Robert, John, and Pearl Timmons.
Mae moved to Bucyrus in 1957 and she and her late husband owned and operated the Point Place Truck Stop from 1957-1981.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Gary Schiefer officiating, burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. as well as on Saturday one hour prior to the service.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Salvation Army Childrens Christmas Fund and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
