Raymond M. Palmer

BUCYRUS: Raymond M. Palmer, 86 of Bucyrus passed away at 3:45 am Tuesday in Riverside Hospital, Columbus. Ray was born April 23, 1926 in Bloomingrove to the late Clarence and Maud (Marshall) Palmer.

He was married September 7, 1970 to Wilma (Ward) Palmer who survives. In addition to his wife, Ray is survived by step-children Bill (Brenda) Jaynes, Findlay and Sheila Jaynes of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren Victoria, Samantha, Cynthia, Jennifer, Christina, and one step-grandchild Ian; two great-grandchildren Regan and Madeline. Ray was preceded in death by brothers Charles, Russell, Gilbert, Foster, and Herbert.

Ray retired in 1989 from Bucyrus Blades and lived most of his life in the Bucyrus and Iberia areas. He was a member of the Bucyrus Moose Lodge #669 and the former Eagles Post #501. Ray was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, burial will follow in Crawford Co. Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Military Rites will be provided by American Legion Post 181.
