Richard W. Auck, Sr.
BUCYRUS: Richard W. Auck, Sr., 83, of Bucyrus passed away at 7:20 am Friday in Altercare of Bucyrus. Mr. Auck was born Dec. 18, 1928 in Crawford Co. to the late William Edward and Irene (White) Auck. He was married Oct. 3, 1950 to Betty J. (Woolensnider) Auck who preceded him in death on Nov. 14, 2001. In addition to his parents and wife, Richard was preceded in death by sister Margaret Rush and granddaughter Erica Bloomfield.
Richard is survived by son Wayne R. (Bonnie) Auck of Bucyrus; daughter Lenora Conn of Bucyrus; son Wendell (Bob Walker) Auck of Pittsburgh; 4 grandchildren; Ryan (Jennifer) Auck of Shelby; Jason (Allison) Auck of Marion; Eric Bloomfield of Bucyrus and Sonia Fry of Marion; great grandchildren Hunter, Abigail, Jonah, Gavin, Logan, Julia, Destiny, Eric Jr., Toni, and Jasmine; one brother Gerald (Virginia) Auck of Virginia; sister Janet (Trellis) Miller of Bucyrus; brother in law Don Rush of Bucyrus as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Richard farmed most of his life and retired from Timken after 34 years. He graduated from Sulphur Springs H.S. in 1946 and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Richard enjoyed traveling and music.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Bond officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
