BUCYRUS: Jerry C. Kirk, 68 of Bucyrus, died Monday, July 8, 2014 at his residence following a brief battle with lung cancer.
He was born August 15, 1945 in Bucyrus to the late Lyle E. and Norrene J. (Snavely) Kirk. Jerry was a 1963 graduate of Holmes Liberty High School and was a Vietnam veteran serving with the US Navy.
Jerry worked for a short time at G.E before taking a job at Tecumseh Products, where he worked for 16 years before they closed. He then spent the next 10 years working at DANA in Upper Sandusky until retirement.

Together they loved their daily conversations and numerous camping and fishing trips. Jerry thought the world of his grandchildren and loved all sports especially the Indians and Browns. He also loved collecting coins, tinkering with automobiles, socializing with close friends and enjoyed relaxing with his many dogs and cats through the years.
He is survived by his wife, Rita, one daughter, Rachael (Dan Dillow) Kirk; two grandchildren, Ethan Cameron and Hoyt Dillow; two siblings, Doug E. Kirk and Karen (Henry) Zier; one sister-in-law, Christine Williams and numerous nieces and nephews.
