NEW WASHINGTON: Arthur F. Ferguson, age 95, of New Washington, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in the Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard, Ohio.

He was born April 19, 1917 in New Washington, Ohio to the late Eugene Sr. and Mary Matilda (Laux) Ferguson. He had worked at Weithman Brothers in Galion, Ohio. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in New Washington. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and watching the New Washington sporting events, especially the ones that his great grandchildren were playing in.

He is survived by three daughters, June C. Ferguson and Patricia Lepard of New Washington, and Nancy (Steve) Kirgis of Bloomville; two sons, Ronald Ferguson and Sharon Clark of Bucyrus and Gerald (Carol) Ferguson of Bucyrus; 12 grandchildren, John (Jennifer) Lepard, Tammy (Dave) Wurm, Steve (Caroline) Pace, Matt (Amanda) Pace, David (Tricia) Kirgis, Mark Kirgis, Andy (Dezirae) Alt, Tina McNally, Chris Ferguson, Robin (Keith) Dues, Nichole Ferguson, and Ben Hoskins; 12 great grandchildren, Morgan Wurm, Miranda Wurm, Steven Lepard, Coby McNally, Nolan Kirgis, Savannah Pace, Brystol Pace, Riley Pace, Haley Dues, Sabrina Dues, Abigaile Hoskins and Zachary Hoskins; two son-in-laws, Dan Alt of Shelby and Steve Pace of New Washington; brother, Harry Ferguson of Shelby.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen I. (Bogner) Ferguson; two daughters, Judy Pace and Barbara Alt; parents, Eugene Sr and Mary Ferguson; son-in-law, Richard Lepard; four sisters, Elsie Willie, Carolyn Lash, Mary Staiger and an infant sister, Florence Ferguson; four brothers, Eldon, John, Eugene Jr. and infant brother, Charles Ferguson.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the St. John's Lutheran Church in New Washington, Ohio, where the funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Joseph H. Bartczak officiating. Burial will be at the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in New Washington.
