TIFFIN: William C. Cook, 77, of Tiffin, died at 5:55 a.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Tiffin Mercy Hospital.
William was born in Tiffin, on October 13, 1935 to the late Ernest and Alice (Sayre) Cook. He married Nancy (Squeo) at the First Presbyterian Church in Tiffin on April 6, 1957 and she survives in Tiffin.
William is survived by his children, Julie (Mark) Teynor of Sulphur Springs, OH, Jennifer Fischer of Texas, Jacqueline (Jerry Gorman) Roberts of Florida, Jay (Shelly Barker) Cook of Tiffin; fifteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
William was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jeffrey Cook; two brothers, Ray and Donald Cook.
William retired from American Standard and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he was an Elder and Sunday School Teacher. William was a great family man who loved helping his children with anything that they needed. William was a 1954 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and a United States Marine Veteran serving during Korea.
There will be a memorial service held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church in Tiffin with the Rev. Katie Treadway officiating. There will be visitation for friends and family from 10-11 a.m. at the church. There will be no burial held at this time.
The Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
