Marion Maxine Shuster

NORTH ROBINSON: Marion Maxine Shuster, 86, of North Robinson died Sunday, Mar. 3, 2013 at home surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness.

Born May 14, 1926 in Marion County, she was the daughter of the late George M. and Orpha Ann (Sherman) Kurtz. She was preceded in death on Nov. 8, 1996 by her husband, Kenneth Dale Shuster, Sr. whom she married on June 29, 1942.

Marion was a member of Galion First Church of the Nazarene. She was the perfect homemaker and always saw the good in everybody. She was a fantastic cook, crafter and as a perfectionist, everything had its place. She always kept a meticulous garden, loved to read and do crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was very family oriented. Every occasion was special and she always remembered everyone's birthday and anniversary.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth D. Jr. and Nancy Shuster of Galion, Phillip and Sue Shuster of Kenton and Tom and Cathy Shuster of Brokensword; three daughters and sons-in-law,

Beverly and Dale Hoffman of Bucyrus, Barb and Ray Young of Marion and Bonnie and Jim Miller of Maryville, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Roger Shuster; two sisters, Helen Strickler and Ruth Dye; one brother, George Kurtz; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Mar. 6, 2013 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Mar. 7 with Rev. Dr. Rick McCartney officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford County Memory Gardens.
