ZAKOWICZ - Dorothy T. October 8, 2013, of Cheektowaga, NY, beloved wife of the late Daniel R. Zakowicz Sr.; loving mother of Dianne (Wayne) Sorrentino, Sandra Solecki, Daniel R. Jr. and David (Nancy) Zakowicz; daughter of the late Joseph and Pearl Zachmyc; sister of the late Fred and Henry Zachmyc; also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services commencing at the DANIEL R. SMOLAREK FUNERAL HOME, 2510 Union Rd. Cheektowaga (2 blocks south of William St.) Friday morning at 9:30 AM and in St. Philip the Apostle Church at 10AM. Internment Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Flowers gratefully declined.

Your mother will be missed. Such a wonderful woman. How I remember our mothers talking over the fence and all the other wonderful things that went on. She was such a ray of sunshine.

So sorry for your loss, she was such a wonderful lady. I am so happy that I was able to see her at Polish Villa and we talked about the old neighborhood.
