HANSEN - Edith L. (nee Frye) August 28, 2015, of the Town of Tonawanda, beloved wife of the late Robert B. Hansen, Jr.; mother of Leo (Meichelle) Geis, Carol (Thomas) Miller and Donna Marie (Crystal) Dugan; grandmother of Stephanie (Joseph), Chrissy, Tucker, Callie, Grace, Joshua, Anastasia and Cozette; great-grandmother of five; sister of Jackie (Timothy) Bowe, Judy (Philip) Lago, Stewart Kolodziej and the late Nathan Kolby; sister-in-law of Elizabeth Kolby. The family will receive friends at the C. MERTZ AND SON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 911 Englewood Ave. on Friday from 4-7 PM. HEBELER, Lorraine A. (Fritzinger) - Williamsville  
HEBELER - Lorraine A. (nee Fritzinger) August 27, 2015. Age 86. Lorraine was the beloved wife of Earl R. Hebeler. Together they raised two successful children, R. Curtis (Laura) Hebeler and Suzanne M. Hebeler. She welcomed a grandchild, Bartholomew, almost four years ago and adored him beyond measure. She is survived by her dear sister, Shirley A. (late John) Scherlein and dear sister-in-law, Marion A. Hebeler. She was cherished as "Onnie" by her niece, Holly S. (Martin) Zuffranieri and children, Christopher, Michael, Nicholas and Matthew and her nephew, John (Marjorie) Scherlein and children, Grace and Parker. She loved her cousins, the "Peters Girls", Cheryl, Linda, Karen, Elaine and their brother, Allen. Lorraine's cheerful personality earned her many friends and allowed her to strike up a conversation with anyone. Her partners-in-crime were Judy, recently deceased, and Jan Elkund. She graduated from East High School and went on to work at the Marine Trust Co., where she met Earl. Their romance spanned almost six decades. She created a wonderful home for her family. Lorraine and Earl were members of Transit Valley Country Club for several decades. She worked at Lou-Retta's Chocolates, was a member of the Bowmansville Garden Club and volunteered at the Darwin Martin House and the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site. Lorraine truly cherished her family and countless friends and loved reading, playing golf and cards, hot fudge sundaes and Ted's Hot Dogs. The family will be present Sunday from 5-7 PM and Monday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at BEACH-TUYN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5541 Main St. (at Cayuga Rd.), Williamsville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Christ the King Church (Main St. at Lamarck Dr.), Snyder, NY, Tuesday morning at 9:30. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

HAYES Jr., Ben - St. Petersburg  
HAYES - Ben Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away on Sunday August 9, 2015. He was born in Louisville, KY, 1930, to Ben and Romonia Hayes, Irvington, KY, and moved to St. Petersburg, FL, in 1972. He retired in 1975 from the U.S. Air Force after 27 years of service, and was the recipient of a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Survivors include his wife, Pat (Pawlowski), of over 60 years (from Niagara Falls, NY), son Ben Hayes (Laurie) of St. Petersburg, FL, two daughters Judith Sinicola-Rees (Art) of North Caldwell, NJ, and Gail VanDerbeck (Warren) of Glenwood Springs, CO, four grandsons Ryan Voltes, Chris Sinicola, Matt Voltes, Bobby Sinicola, one granddaughter Madison Hayes, sister Margie Hayes Chappell of Irvington, KY, three brothers Billy Hayes (Elsie) of Guston, KY, Lewis Hayes of Anchorage, AK, and Robert Hayes (Barbara) of Irvington, KY, sister-in-law Marcia Pawlowski Game (Bill) of Lewiston, NY, brother-in-law Joe Pawlowski (Deborah) of Amherst, NY, and many nieces and nephews. His brother Namon Hayes and sister Elsie Hayes Mills did not survive him. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, Radcliff, KY in July 2016.
