"Frank" Died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on June 25, 2016 in Angola, NY, at the age of 84, beloved husband of 62 years of Norine "Mate" (nee Kriegbaum) Ransbury; loving father of Deborah (John) Godwin, Michael (Paula), Francis (Kathie), Joseph (Christa), Kathleen (Sam) Brown, Patrick (Kathy), Raymond (Jan) and Mary (Bruce) Siskowski; devoted grandfather of John (Maureen), Catherine (Jeff), Meghan, Jessica (Matt), Jacquelyn, Christina, Ashlee, Nicholas, Kiley, Kara, Stephen, Gregory, Andrew, Zachary, Timothy, Ryan, Adam, James and Benjamin; great-grandfather of Charles Viggato; brother-in-law of Shirley (Vic) Vitello; uncle of Julee, Doug and Scott (Jeannette) Vitello. Frank was born on December 18, 1931 in Lackawanna to the late Frank S. Ransbury and Lillian Talty. He served as Union President of The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainman-Division 421. Frank served proudly and honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. His animated and humorous storytelling will be missed by all who knew him. For many years, Mr. Ransbury volunteered at Operation Good Neighbor and was a member of the Evans Art Guild and the Knights of Columbus, Msgr. Nash Council No. 3875, South Buffalo. Visitation Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at NORMAN E. GANNON & SONS, Inc. FUNERAL HOME, 1075 Ridge Rd., Lackawanna (824-4000). Friends are invited to join the family for The Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Charity Parish, "St. Ambrose," 65 Ridgewood Rd., South Buffalo, on Friday at 11:30 AM. ROOT - Kenneth E. Sr. Age 85, of 1565 Black Brook Rd., Seneca Falls, died Sunday (June 19, 2016) in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. He is survived by his wife, Bonita G. Wheeler Root; sons, Kenneth E. (Debbie) Root, Jr. of Buffalo, Mark (Bonnie) Root of Puget Sound, WA, Matthew (Margaret) Root of Buffalo, and Allen Root of Denver, CO; stepson, John Burkhart of Carlisle, PA; stepdaughter, Cheryl (Sean McCormack) Matheis of Amherst; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson; sister, Shirley (Donald) Cotton of Canastota. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be 11 AM Saturday (July 9) at Calvary Chapel, 2291 Rt. 89, Seneca Falls, NY, 13148.
