MADURI - Joseph H. Of Lockport, NY, June 23, 2016, predeceased by wives R. Marion and Mary; a brother Peter (Dorothy) and a son James (Peg Beyer). He is survived by six daughters, including Sandra Dula and Penny (Butch) Sikorski, son Joseph (late Cathy); grandchildren; great grandchildren; sister-in-law Shirley (late Charles) Douglass and several cousins, nieces and nephews. MAESS - Frank L. Age 93, of the City of Tonawanda, died February 8, 2016, beloved husband of 67 years of Elizabeth H. "Betty" (nee Deeb) Maess; father of Elizabeth (Archie) Bradley, Nancy (John) Hackett and Jean Maess (Mark Kokanovich); grandfather of Bridgette (Charles), Daniel (Jenny), Jenna, Kate, Jonathan and Bethany; great-grandfather of Kyla, Alexa, Mia and Ryan; brother of the late Janette Efemey and Isabel Schulte; uncle to several nieces and nephews. No prior visitation. A private entombment was in St. Mark's Episcopal Church Columbarium. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Thursday, June 30, at 11 AM in St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 61 Payne Ave. (corner of Tremont St.) in North Tonawanda. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Frank was born in 1922 in Niagara-on-the-Lake was a 1940 graduate of Tonawanda High School. He was a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps, a Combat Veteran who served with Rifle Company 3rd Marine Division during WW II. Frank was employed as a Letter Carrier for the Tonawanda Post Office for 36 years, retiring in 1978 and was a 70 year member of NALC. He was a member of St. Mark's Ushers Club, a Charter Member of Conrad Kania Detachment Marine Corps League, a 69 year member of Niagara Hose Co. #3 and a member of Tonawanda Exempt Volunteer Firemen's Assn. Frank was also a 70 year member of Tonawandas Post 264 American Legion and a member of Masonic Ken-Ton Lodge. Arrangements by JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., Tonawanda, NY.
