Claire Jeanette (Hubbs) LIPPERT

lippert - Claire Jeanette (nee Hubbs) Born March 20, 1922. Claire went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2014. Claire was a very strong woman who lived independently. She loved life and wanted to get the most she could from each and every day. She was strong willed, educated, opinionated and a real fighter. She raised her children to be independent and self-sufficient, just as she had lived. Married to the late Bernie Lippert; dear mother of Sandra Lippert, Douglas (Rhonda) Lippert, Scott (Pam) Lippert; grandmother of four; four great-grandchildren. Loved by everyone who knew her. Born in Northport, Long Island, NY. Dedicated registered nurse who served as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Claire was an avid reader, gardener and seamstress and spent many hours knitting caps for premature babies. She loved to visit any body of water and especially enjoyed the birds. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 8th, 2014 at Kenilworth United Church of Christ, 45 Dalton Dr., Tonawanda, at 10 AM.
