John W. IRVINE

IRVINE - John W. Of Clarence, NY, September 24, 2012, beloved husband of Onalee (Kelley); loving father of Linda (Ross) Holmes, John (Rae) and Thomas (Barbara) Irvine; dearest brother of William Irvine, the late Richard and the late Walter Irvine; grandfather of Clinton M. Holmes and cherished grandparent to Craig Troskosky, Cooper R. Holmes and Seth H. Holmes. To his wife Onalee and children Linda, John and Tom, Jack was a husband and father extraordinaire. He will be remembered for his unwavering love which was demonstrated time and time again to his family and friends without measure. He was a free man who lived in power, grace, humility, and dignity all mixed with an incredible wit that was self-effacing and disarming. All of this came to him by virtue of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Words fail to capture how great a man he was except for those we are assured that he heard on entering his new home "Well done good and faithful servant." In service to his country, Jack was a Technical Sergeant in the United States Army and served in the European theater during World War II. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church of Marilla, 11651 Bullis Road, Marilla, NY 14102. Friends invited. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Buffalo City Mission or the are gratefully accepted. Arrangements by Perna, Dengler, Roberts Funeral Home.
