SCHANZER - George O., PhD May 23, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Maria Montanari Schanzer; loving father of Jenny (Aloysius) Kracklauer, Lakshyan Schanzer, Monica (Reza Vahdat-Pajouh) Schanzer and Robert W. (Gail) Schanzer; loving grandfather of Peter, Martin (Chris), Nathan (Loraine), Emmanuel (Emily), Darius, Noushin and Dylan; survived by over 30 nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at the DIETRICH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2480 Kensington Avenue, Amherst 14226 on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9, where prayers will be held on Thursday at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Church, 30 Lamarck Dr., Amherst at 9:30 AM. Online condolences at www.TheDietrichFuneralHome.com. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials made to Catholic Relief Services.
