CHOWANIEC - Eugene J. February 27, 2009, of West Seneca, NY; beloved husband of Susan M. (nee Mikida); dearest father of John and Kristin; brother of Sandra (George) Northerm and Judith (Ed) Wawro; brother-in-law of Nancy (Blair) Coleman, Rosanne (Gregory) Lipp and Laura (Mark) Mikida; survived by nieces and nephews. Family present Sunday and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the HOY FUNERAL HOME INC., 3855 Seneca St., West Seneca, where prayers will be said Tuesday morning at 9:15, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial from St. John Vianney Church at 10. Friends invited.

Dear Sue. I was saddened to recently learn of Gene's death. Despite the passing of so many years, I still have fond memories of Gene from my friendship with your sister Laura when I lived in Lackawanna. God bless you and your family during this difficult time.
