Beatriz Isada (nee Manuel) 1925-2012 May 22, 2012, age 87, born in Manila, Philippines. She graduated from Davao City High School in 1941, was awarded a BA in 1948 and a MA in English in 1952 from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. She taught at Mindanao Colleges in the Philippines and Our Lady of Victory and Bennett High Schools, and was a past President of the UB Women's Club. She was married to Dr. Nelson Isada, an Engineering Professor at UB from 1959-1993. She is survived by her husband of 59 years; three children, Dr. Nelson B. (Kimberly) Isada, Dr. Carlos M. (Dr. Loretta) Isada and Juliana I. (Joseph) Dompkowski; grandchildren, Alex, Matthew and Mae Isada and Thomas and Andrew Dompkowski; predeceased by brother, Felix Manuel. Visitation Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9 PM at AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5200 Sheridan Dr., Amherst. A Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at St. Joseph University Parish Church at 11 AM. Lunch at The Center for Tomorrow, UB Amherst Campus. Donations to St. Joseph University Parish, 3269 Main St., Buffalo.
