PATERNOSTRO - Charles A., Jr. Passed into eternal life on August 30, 2013 at his home in Neosho, MO. He was born October 4, 1946 in Silver Springs, NY and grew up in Farnham, NY. He lived in Pierce City, MO for 32 years before moving to Neosho in 2003. Chuck retired from the United States Army and served in the Air Force, Navy Reserve, National Guard and, most recently, the 203rd of Joplin, MO. He fought a gallant battle against cancer, never losing his sense of humor, known by all who crossed his path. He cherished the times shared with his family and enjoyed wood working, music, travel and was a voracious reader. Chuck is survived by his wife Mary Horine; children: Charles (Rebecca) Paternostro III of Pierce City, Mandi McLaughlin of Neosho, Sarah Paternostro (Jake Smith) of Joplin and Tony (Janetta) Paternostro of Monett, MO; five grandchildren: Bryce Logan, Brok Logan, Rileigh Paternostro, Vinny Smith and Blake Paternostro; a brother Sabin (Glenda) Paternostro of Monett; the mother of his children, Patti Ireland, of Wentworth, MO; aunts, nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles A. Paternostro, Sr.; his mother, Earlene (Bowen) Paternostro; twin baby sons, aunts and uncles. Memorial visitation services were held Tuesday, September 3, 5-7 PM, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Neosho, MO.
