Frank LUKASIEWICZ Obituary

LUKASIEWICZ - Capt. Frank W., USMC (Ret.) Passed away October 12, 2009 in Sentara Leigh Hospital in Virginia Beach. A native of Buffalo NY, son of the late William V. and Joanne S. Lukasiewicz; he is survived by his wife Dorothy C. Lukasiewicz; two sons Michael Anthony and John Francis Lukasiewicz both of Va Beach; a daughter Tammy Ann Boulden (Paul) of Richmond, VA; six grandchildren, Paul B. Boulden Jr (Kim), William R. Boulden, Ann E. Boulden and fiance' Stephen Hamer, Timothy, Mary and Michael Lukasiewicz; three brothers, James Lukas (Ellen) Donald Lukasiewicz (Betty) and Paul Lukasiewicz (Louise) all of Buffalo, NY; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends; he was predeceased by son, Frank W. Lukasiewicz Jr. He retired from the United States Marine Corps as a Captain after 25 years of service. He was a Eucharistic Lay Minister and Lector at the Little Creek Amphibious Base Catholic Community Chapel. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 2:30 pm on Friday at Little Creek Amphibious Base Chapel with Msgr. Frederic Elkin officiating. The burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, Thursday from 6 to 8 pm with a Rosary service at 7 pm. All non-military family and friends that wish to attend services on the base must register with the funeral home at (757) 464-6221 no later than 1 pm on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Help Hospitalized Veterans, American Cancer Society or the Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squad. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
