Dearest Herb,
What a sweetheart you were. George
and I enjoyed the precious times we
spent with you and Ruth.
One of the things we admired in
you was your modesty. Maybe I'm going
out on a limb, but we felt you were the
most gifted photographer (especially of
Nature) in the Buffalo area. And
Ruthie ran a close second. The work
you did at the Zoo was never surpassed.
Now, we know you are happy with
your Ruthie.
Love and God Bless, Alberta

I will miss my Uncle Herb.
He will always be remembered as a very loving husband of my Aunt Ruth. As a man of great talent, and quiet dignity.
And of course, we will remember his wonderful sense of humor.
My condolences to all who knew him, and loved him.
