YOST - Janet Wise White Age 81, of 80 Sycamore Dr., Elizabethtown, PA, passed away June 16, 2013, at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. Born in White Horse, Lancaster County, PA, she was the daughter of the late George M. and Martha Russell Wise. She and her husband, Donald L. Yost, celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary on April 20, 2013. Her first husband of over 45 years, John William White, died in 1999. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sons: John Bradley White (Claudine Pearson) of Portage, IN, Alan White (Dale Belcher) of Roslindale, MA and David White of Cheyenne, WY; a daughter Charlyn (Michael) Siconolfi of Wheaton, IL; nine grandchildren: Nathan White, Nathaniel Townley, Tony, Linda and Soka Belcher-White, Adam, Heather and Ryan White and Jessica (Joseph Barnes) Siconolfi; two great-grandsons: Steven Barnes and Myles Sisco; two sisters: Kathryn Trotta of Philadelphia, PA and Florence (Richard Ivers) Walker of West Newton, MA; and two stepsons: Michael (Beverly) Yost of Coatesville, PA and Kevin Yos, of Gordonville, PA. Janet graduated in 1952 from Coatesville Hospital School of Nursing and in 1976, she received her Nurse Practitioner Degree from the University of Buffalo. Janet was a Registered Nurse with Buffalo General Hospital for many years and after receiving her Nurse Practitioner's Degree became the Nursing Home Administrator in 1979 at Downtown Nursing Home in Buffalo, NY. Her next position was with Presbyterian Homes of Western New York and, lastly, she worked for the Methodist Home in Charlotte, NC. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church and was a volunteer with Hospice and Community Care. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Janet's Life Celebration Memorial Service at Ascension Lutheran Church, 600 E. Penn Grant Rd., Willow Street, PA, on Friday, June 28 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Steven R. Bowser officiating. Interment will be in the Ascension Lutheran Church Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends at the church on June 28 from 12:30 PM until time of service. Please omit flowers.
