RICE - Jennifer Lynn Age 56, of Buffalo, NY, died August 17, 2012 at the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born on March 24, 1956 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Ross) Rice of Buffalo, NY. Jennifer was a graduate of Lewiston-Porter Central High School, Class of 1974 and attended Kent State University. Her life was truly devoted to the care of animals. She was an accomplished equestrian and polo player. Jennifer had worked at the Saddle & Bridle Club of Buffalo, she managed the Rich Products Corporation Polo Team of Wellington, Florida and also managed the Knox Farm Stables in East Aurora, NY. Jennifer was a member of the National Audubon Society and Life Member of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. She enjoyed water skiing, canoeing, fishing and her favorite hobby was painting scenes of her childhood summers spent at the family island in Muskoka, Ontario. Her canvasses included the animals that she always cared for and cured. In addition to her parents, Jennifer is survived by her sister, Joan Rice; brother, Graham Rice; aunts and uncles, Jeanne Rice Phelps, Rev. W. Ransom (Sue) Rice, Jr., Joan (Frederick) Ross-Ross, Lynn (Gary) Ross McFarlane and numerous cousins. Funeral Services will be conducted at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined.
