Of Lackawanna, NY, July 5, 2004, beloved husband of Viola (nee Tyrpak) Aszkler; dearest father of Barbara (Joseph) Schenck, Jr., Gloria (Richard) Brennan and Joan (George) Rowan; loving grandfather of Jeffrey (Sandra) Schenck, Lynette (Roger) Meyers, Glenn (Jessica) Schenck, Melissa (Jerry Jensen) Coburn, Carrie (Michael Ancharski) Brennan, Kristin (Michael) Oakes, Michael Brennan and Laurie (Kenton) Russell; great-grandfather of Nicole and Jaclyn Paryz, Erik Schenck, Alexa Coburn, Taylor Schenck and Isabella Ancharski; brother of the late Sophie (late Frank) Polanowski, Emily (late Anthony) Spadaro, Helen (late Edward) Bower, Josephine (late Albert) Advent and Frances (late Joseph) Rochford; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the (Blasdell/Lackawanna Chapel) JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3450 South Park Ave. where funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9:15 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Barbara's Church at 10:00. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends are invited. Mr. Aszkler was a member of St. Barbara's Ushers Club, American Legion Matthew Glab Post #1477 and The Happy Go Lucky Senior Club.
