CLARKE - Richard F. May 5, 1928 - April 12, 2012, of the Village of Hamburg. He leaves his wife of 60 years, Jane E. (Dalziel) Clarke of Hamburg; his children, Richard (Rita) Clarke of Maryland, David (Christine) Clark of East Aurora, Donald Clarke of East Aurora and Susan (late John) O'Connor of Hamburg; his brother Robert Clarke of Ruidoso, New Mexico and his twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Mildred O'Connor. Mr. Clarke was a 1946 Hamburg High School Graduate, excelling on the football, basketball and bowling teams. He was also a linebacker with the Town of Hamburg Football Team in the 50's. A Veteran of the U.S. Marine Air Corps, he attended SUNY at Buffalo and Georgia Tech where he majored in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for Link-Belt for 25 years, before forming his own business - Clarke Conveyor. He was a Former President of the Buffalo Engineering Society. Mr. Clarke was an avid bowler with the Buffalo Courier Express Travel League. A true fan of the Buffalo Bills, he never missed a game. Upon retirement, he loved collecting garden rocks and sharing his plants. Services will be private. The family encourage memorials in Mr. Clarke's name to
