GUERCIO - Salvatore "Red" Of Kenmore, February 21, 2013, husband of the late Mary DiLillo Guercio and the late Betty Stark Guercio; beloved father of Vincent (Beverly), Joseph (Nancy), Thomas, Mary Anne (William) Whyland, William (Joanne) Guercio and the late John "Jack" Guercio; also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; father-in-law of the late Christine Ponczkowski Guercio; brother of Charles (Rose), Santana "Sis", Jacob (Dawn) Guercio and the late Anthony, Vincent and Joseph Guercio. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends may call at D. LAWRENCE GINNANE FUNERAL HOME, 3215 Delaware Ave, Kenmore, Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where funeral will be held Monday at 8:45. Mass of Christian Burial from St. Paul's RC Church at 9:15 AM. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Town of Tonawanda Senior Center or Erie County SPCA are preferred. Red served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, Pacific Theater, participating in The Battle of Okinowa. He maintained a lifelong interest in photography, from developing and colorizing wedding portraits to participating in the Town of Tonawanda Senior Center Camera Club. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing, camping, and dancing trips with Trail'n Squares and Harris Squares square dance clubs.
