SEEHASE - Sheldon E. Age 96, long time resident of the greater Buffalo area, passed away in Fountain Hills, AZ on February 18, 2013. Shel was born on April 30, 1916. His 44 years of faithful service with the National Fuel Gas Corp. was only interrupted by service during WWII with the U.S. Army. During his work with his company, Shel only missed two days of work, and that because of one of the famous Buffalo snowstorms. He was happily married to Elizabeth "Betts" Adamkavitz of Kane, PA, some 45 years. He followed baseball closely and was a die-hard "Yankee" fan since 1927. After his retirement, they spent several winters enjoying the beaches and warm climate of Myrtle Beach, SC. Following the passing of his wife, Shel moved to San Diego with his in-laws and then later moved with them to Fountain Hills, which is a suburb of Phoenix, AZ, in 2007. He is survived by his in-laws Kenneth and Dorothy Root and nephew Dr. Kenneth Root Jr., all of Fountain Hills; nephew Michael Dobony of Springfield, MO and niece Brenda Margut of Lebanon, PA. No services were held.
