COLEMAN - Douglas Of Newfane, entered into rest on Tuesday August 5, 2014. Doug was born in Ransomville, NY on January 18, 1965. Son of Jean Swigert Coleman and the late Bruce Coleman. Doug graduated from Newfane High School in 1983 and went on to receive his bachelor's degree in Business from Grove City College in Pennsylvania. He worked as a sales consultant at Independent Heath in Buffalo, NY and was currently co-owner of the Mermaid Express in Olcott, NY. He enjoyed golfing and loved his dog "Herme". Doug was a member of the Newfane United Methodist Church and sang in the choir there. Brother of Richard (Melissa) Coleman of Newfane, NY and Deborah (Robert) Allport of California; nephew of Marilyn Webster of Lockport, NY; uncle of Jason (Shannon) Coleman of Newfane, NY, Jennifer Coleman of Victor, Joshua (Katie) Allport of Wyoming and Ashley Allport of California. No prior visitation. A funeral service will be held at the Newfane United Methodist Church 2699 N. Main St. Newfane, NY 14108 on SATURDAY at 10 AM. Burial will be held in North Ridge Cemetery following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Newfane United Methodist Church or Miller Hose Fire Co., 6161 McKee St., Newfane, NY 14108 would be appreciated by the family.
