Nick, coach and mentor!
He was a great man, teacher and coach I highly respected.
I always remember his pronunciation of my last name and loved it. He was a man who made you feel appreciated. I remember..all clear, retrieve arrows, Moose Jaw and rotate. Miss you much.
Look forward seeing you in the future coach!

Nick was in my class at NTHS where he played FB. I remember Nick's last game as QB vs. Notre Dame which was televised. Indiana lost but it seemed everything went right for the QB. On one (of many) notable plays Nick went back to punt. The ball went over his head, he ran back, picked it up, and being chased in a quick half circle kicked the ball over the heads of all the ND return men. ND named Nick as their "all-opponent QB of the year".

Nick was my golf coach at NTHS during the mid sixties. He went out of his way to give us the opportunity to learn and improve our games. He came early, stayed late and inspired us all to do our best. I've thought of Nick often over the years and will always appreciate his dedication to young people, teaching sportsmanship and integrity by his excellent example.

Uncle Nick...what can I say! He was a one of a kind. I'll never forget him and us playing in his apartment downstairs..and all the stuff!!! It was amazing and some good memories made then and there! We had some good times! My heart goes out to Aunt Denise, Uncle Mike, Scott, Carla, Krissy and Marc. To all of those who knew him..he will be sadly missed. God Bless Uncle Nick wherever you are!

Uncle Nick meant different things to different people. To me he was a man of strength & dedication. He always took the time to listen & always made you feel important. Uncle Nick seemed to find away to make you laugh; whether is was a story about his finger or greeting a young lady at the door by singing the tune from "Miss America." I will forever be thankful to have had Uncle Nick in my life. I hope my husband & I do our best to make Uncle Nick proud of our "little Nick." I hope to raise him to have the same qualities of his great uncle...a GREAT man!

I worked with Nick as his school superintendent. He always had the best interest of the School District and his students. He was so honest and down to earth. A very kind and gentleman. I am sure he is coaching the golf team of angels.

I have the fondest memory of Mr. Sebek. At the time, he was the male phys ed teacher at NTHS in the early seventies. I was privileged to be his square dancing partner when gym class became co-ed! He was the best!
15 years later he frequented my place of employment and it was always a pleasure to serve him. He will be missed.

Mr Sebek was the best!I had the great privilege of having him and Mr Moore as gym teachers from 71 to 74.He had a way of making all the young men feel special.I had many opportunity to shake his hand and tell him what a fine man I thought he was as I would run into him around town.I saw Mr Moore at a Little League get together at Buck Millers house about 12 years ago and told him the same thing.God bless you and thank you for everything old friend. Rest in peace.

Dear Coach,
How did your finger end up that way? I guess we'll never know the true Hollywood story after all? You will always be a figure in my life I remember for all that you did for me in my teen years! The wisdom, integrity, and generosity shared will be a legacy I can only hope to pass along to so many others the way you did so caringly to me. You allowed me into your family, and for that I am very thankful! You introduced me to your nephew whom you installed a lot of your great values in, and to this day I am honored to call him my friend, Scott Driscoll! I know you are in a better place now, and that all your putts will surely fall in the center of the cup!!! Lastly to coin one of your expressions that truly epitomizes my memory of you; "GOOD MAN, THAT SEBEK"

I have fond memories of Mr.Sebek.I was fortunate to have him as my gym teacher at Ohio Elementary and NTHS.I remember the co-ed square dancing. As a member of the varsity wrestling team(71-74) he showed interest in my matches.1 time at the Old Trott High school,I looked up at the stands and there he was.He took me aside 1 day,and asked me if I would like a golf sweater, that was better than any trophy I ever won!To this day 35 years later I still have that sweater.Thank you Mr.Sebek I will miss you dearly.

In the mid 50's Nick taught gym at Col. Payne School. I was very impressed when he showed me his hand and his little finger was pointing in the wrong direction! He told me it was a football injury from when he played with the Redskins! WOW! God speed...Nick!

Good Old Uncle Nick!"Krissy" and I always had fun on our "outings" with him and I will never forget winning the title of "The Custard Queen" as a result of our many trips to Custard's Last Stand. This along with all the sleepovers and MTV at his place in our "tweens and teens", rides in the Red Acura, visits at the mall made for a good time and fun memories with Uncle Nick. Love and our thoughts are with all of you

When I was 12 or 13 yrs old, Nick was our hero. I remember how a bunch of us, kids, followed him as he escorted a girl home from the high school one evening. Then we followed his exploits on the gridiron at Indiana. Finally, I worked with Nick for the Bd of Education when we re-surfaced the high school roof, just before he left for the Redskins training camp. My memory of him is of a personable, humble, poised and wonderful person. I never met anyone who did not like and admire him and I have often thought of him and what became of him since I left NT long ago. Atty David C Comstock
