HALLDIN - John V., Sr. "Jack" Of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away on Nov. 5, 2010. Jack was born Feb. 22, 1936 in Buffalo, NY. A product of South Buffalo, he was a proud 1953 graduate of Seneca Vocational High School, served in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service from 1953 to 1957, and graduated in 1960 from the University of Buffalo. After graduation, he was employed by The Travelers Insurance Companies until retiring in 1993 as a Vice President of Human Resources. From 1995 to 1998, he was employed by United HealthCare and Coventry Health Care. Jack enjoyed golf and following all sports, especially his Buffalo Bills. He was very active for several years in Seneca Alumni activities in Buffalo, as well as Buffalo Bills Backers, and Worthington Country Club in Bonita Springs, FL, where he and Mary resided for over 16 years. He had a special love for his country. He leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years, Mary (Whelan); and sons, John Jr., and his wife, Lorraine, of Derby, KS; Robert of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and William, and his wife, Susan, granddaughter Kathryn and grandson Michael, all of Rocklin, CA. He is also survived by his sister, Janet Halldin Hough, of Saluda, N.C. He was the beloved brother-in-law of Patricia Parker, James Whelan, John Whelan, Thomas Whelan, Gerald Whelan, Robert Whelan, Margaret Page, Paul Whelan, and Kevin Whelan. The family will be present to receive friends Wednesday 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the (Delaware Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1132 Delaware Ave. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1080 Main St., Buffalo. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends invited. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cafe' of Life, P.O.
