Sergeant First Class August 5, 2005, Suddenly in Iraq, of Cheektowaga, NY, beloved and dearest son of Valerian J. and Loretta (Swacha) Derenda; dearest brother of Caroline (Scott) Kibby; loving uncle of Nicholas and Thomas Kibby; dear nephew of Gertrude Brzezinski, Julie Senko, Chester (Conny) Swacha, Josephine (Joseph) Salhab; also survived by cousins. Funeral service from the BARRON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3025 William St., near Union Rd., Cheektowaga, Saturday at 8:30 AM and at St. Josaphat's Church at 9:30 AM. Family will be present on Friday only 2-4 and 7-9. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
