HEPPLE - Marie Charlot Daniels (nee Freed) 79, of Great Falls, Montana, died peacefully, October 20th, of natural causes at her home. Memorial Services will be held November 20th at 2:00 PM at First English Lutheran Church in Great Falls. Survivors include her Husband, of 19 years, James W. Heppel; sons Robert A. Daniels and Douglas J. Daniels, both of Great Falls; step-daughters Michelle Raczka and Dawn Seifert both of Jacksonville, FL., brother, Regis (Bud) J. Freed, Jr., of Sumter, S.C. and numerous nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by husband Walter R. Daniels Sr., son, Walter R. Daniels, Jr., Of Derby, NY; sisters Jean Keith of Buffalo, NY; Nancy Wertz of Mount Vernon, NY; parents Regis J. Freed, Sr., and Charlot Bourne Freed of Wanaka, NY; a stepmother, Katherine Freed, of Wanaka, N.Y. Marie retired from Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Lackawanna, N.Y., in 1993; where she worked in the nursing profession for over 25 years after raising her sons. She lived in North Collins, Brant, Derby, and Hamburg, N.Y., while raising her sons. Marie was involved with the Women's VFW Auxiliary, Highland Hose Volunteer Fire Department Women's Auxiliary, and the PTA while her sons were growing up. Marie married James in 1993; and in 1996, Marie and James, moved to be near their sons in Great Falls and began their new life. Marie became involved with the local community, immediately, serving as a Guardian Ad litem, and also volunteered in various Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) programs. Marie always had time for others; and shared herself with many. She will be greatly missed. Croxford Funeral Home & Crematory has performed the cremation. Flowers gratefully declined.
