CHILCOTT - Douglas G. 64, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on January 4, 2013 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on May 7, 1948, in Lockport, NY, to parents Eugene and Beth Chilcott. Doug grew up in Western NY and subsequently moved to Texas after graduating from the University of Toledo in Ohio. Doug was an officer in the US Army Medical Service Corps at Fort Sam Houston from 1974-77. Later, he was the Director of Plans and Resource Development at the University of Texas Health Science Center from 1977-1980. Subsequently, Doug served as a Project Review Systems Analyst at the Texas Health Facilities Commission in Austin. Doug acquired advanced degrees in Health Facilities Management and Environmental Studies. The majority of his career Doug worked with his twin brother, David, operating and managing the Broadway Medical Clinics. Doug is remembered for his sincerity and likeability. He loved life. He had the unique ability to see the best in others. Doug had the innate ability to "light up the room" with smiles and unending optimism. He will be dearly missed by family, friends and the entire San Antonio community. Doug is survived by his son William Chilcott; mother Beth and her husband Ed Robisch; father Eugene and his friend Joan Fruck; brother Gary Chilcott and his wife Cindy; twin brother David and his friend Janet Frerich; nieces Jennifer Rappole and Carrie Abraham. A Celebration Of Life was held in San Antonio, TX. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 12672 Silicon Dr., Suite 105. San Antonio, TX 78249.
