MALKIEWICZ - John F. February 7, 2013, beloved husband of Joan K. (Burger); loving father of John S. (Ellen) Malkiewicz and Julie (Timothy) Berg; dear grampy of Lucy, Claire and Heather; dear brother of Stella Ziemba, Edward Malkiewicz and the late Matthew, Hattie and Joanne. Friends received on Sunday 4-9 PM at the NIGHTENGALE FUNERAL HOME, 1884 South Park Ave., near Tifft, where services will follow at 9 PM. Friends invited. Mr. Malkiewicz was the Secretary-Treasurer of Boilermakers Local 18 AFL-CIO, active for many years with Stingrays Football and current commissioner of Tyro Football. He was a former Boy Scout Leader with Troop No. 116 and an avid bowler.

John i will truley miss u more than u can imagine u have been a great friend and a grandpa to me. Most people probably dont kno the length of time we have known each other or the many fun times weve had. I have so many memories with u. Playing pool, fixing cars, breaking cars, bowling, football, camping, getting yelled at for staying in the pool to long when we didnt listen to my mom, late nights hanging out and having some drinks and even my first alcoholic drink was with u (puckers) but my favorite of them all was when we put my wood stove in the garage and had so much wood in it and everything closed off and the garage was filled with smoke and there we were just standing there trying to figure it out and never bothered to open anything up and my mom comes in and yells at us for being stupid cuz there was so much smoke she couldnt c us. Uve helped me through many difficult things throughout my life. I hope u have a nice car up in heaven so u never have to worry about fixing it or at least get urself a nice warm garage u can work in. Love u.
