I saw Bruce play with Gamelon dozens of times at CPG and as an 18 year+ old drummer was always inspired by his ability to play amazing blends with George, always complimenting each other's mixes...made me want to write and play original music to this day. Peace.

I remember sitting at one of the front tables at the CPG (Bruce's side of the stage) with my eyes closed, listening to Gamalon. Bruce had a way of playing the sweetest, most ethereal notes that always made me smile. One time I opened my eyes and he was watching me! He tilted his head, raised his eyebrows and smiled back. I'll never forget the twinkle in his eyes... I hope all is well with Bruce's family, friends and Gamalon "loyalists" everywhere. God bless us all in these uncertain times. Go Bills!

Back in the day.... Bruce: C'mon up to my room... It was a big closet in a big house on North Forest Rd!

I was sad to read this. I just ran across this news today while telling a friend about Gamalon. I used to see Gamalon play at CPG and Manikins years ago. I would go out Thursday nights knowing I had to get up for school the next day. You once told that you remembered my name because your mother-in-law (I think that's right-been a lot of years) has the same name. RIP, you were taken too soon from us.

To the family & close friends of BRUCE, I extend my DEEPEST sympathies to you.
While he & I were not close friends, we ALWAYS got along well and respected each other, as people & as fellow musicians. My 1st professional gig as a teenager, was with Pegasus, opening for RODAN at McVANS, on a Sunday night in October,1975. Boy, were we intimidated by them! BRUCE was ALWAYS genuine & nice to me from the start, which I will always appreciate. What a fine musician he was, we were all lucky to have him in our lives. ....wish I could
see him (& listen...)one more time.

With much respect,
Kent Weber

Bruce you will be deeply and sorely missed. Because of you, I picked up the guitar again and started playing. Thanks for the lessons. Me and the Big Baby Taylor (that you wanted so much) will keep on playing. You're in Gods band now and the band is truly better with your fingers. We miss you and will always love you. Chapel Road is not the same without your smile, quick wit and laughter, but our memories with you live on. You have lived a good life and we have been blessed with your friendship. Thanks for all the advice on keeping our hearts happy when things were going wrong. Well done Bruce...well done.

Bruce and I were long distance friends for over 20 years, all that will change is the distance.
His memory will live in my heart FOREVER. Billy's Saloon was the first song I ever heard from Gamalon back in 1989 and I was hooked for life, so thanks Bruce, your music helped changed my life. Though he was a quiet reserved guy, he could make that guitar do amazing things, I loved to watch him duel with George. I could go on and on about how great of a person he was but we all know that. In short, he was a GREAT musician, a true friend,a wonderful person, and a child of GOD. My deepest sympathy to your family Bruce, I'll see ya on the other side man.

Though he himself was unassuming and always happier when the stage lights pointed at someone else, Bruce Brucato was and always will be considered a world class composer/musician by his peers, fans, friends and family. He was so much fun to watch on stage with Gamalon – always in the moment and ready to exchange a riff or engage the band in some intense musical dialogue. And then there were other moments his playing gave me chills ... His song The Rift always made me feel a profound connection to the spiritual world. Through his music he touched my soul, made me dance, laugh, cry. He was an artist, and a truly good human being. I will cherish my memories of Bruce forever. My love and deepest sympathy to family members.
