MALONEY-Patricia Ann (Davidson) Of 58th Street, died Friday, January 12, 2007 in Millard Fillmore, Gates Circle. Pat was a beautiful woman who was born in Chicago, IL, and was proud to have created a close, loving family. She passed away suddenly after courageously battling heart disease for years. Mrs. Maloney was the daughter of Harriet and Leo Davidson. Pat attended St. Sabina School and the Academy of Our Lady "Longwood" in Chicago. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, IN, where she met her loving husband, Mike. She was Class Secretary of her senior class at Saint Mary's College and was the Alumnae Class Reporter for many years. Prior to marriage, she worked in Chicago for the American Meat Institute as a research chemist. She had been President of the College Club of Niagara Falls and was an active member of its book group and gourmet group. She was a member of the Pacific Avenue School P.T.A. and St. John de LaSalle Home School Association. She enjoyed water-walking classes with the Adult Continuing Education. Pat ran bridge groups, including one at the Duke Senior Center, long before she became a "senior." She was also an avid bowler and reader, and especially enjoyed reading mysteries. She traveled extensively and loved Hawaii and going to Cape Cod each summer. Pat was a trivia buff, winning many competitions, and a gourmet cook. She had a great sense of humor and was extremely intelligent. She leaves behind her husband of nearly 47 years, Michael Maloney, her children, Patricia, Mary, Michael Jr. (Rebecca) and Thomas (April); her grandchildren, Collin, Adelaide and Ronan; her brother, Jerry T. Alger and her beloved puppy Fritz. Pat was pre-deceased by her parents and a brother, Alan F. Alger. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Tuesday in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue where prayers will be said at 10:30 AM. Wednesday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. in St. Charles Boromeo Church, 56th and Lindbergh Avenue. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Town of Lewiston.
