KOWALSKI-Margaret Joan (nee Lillie) May 27, 2007, of Cheektowaga, NY, after a brief illness, most beloved wife of 52 years to Edward T. Kowalski; loving mother of Janice Kowalski-Kelly and Joanne (David) Eberth; devoted Nana of Kristen, Stephen Kelly, Edward and Jenna Eberth; daughter of the late Henry and Annie (nee Bullock) Lillie; sister of the late Harold (Chris) Lillie of England and Phillip (Ann) Lillie of New Zealand; sister-in-law of the late Jane Lillie; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 85 George Urban Blvd. (west of Harlem Rd.) where funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30 AM and from Our Lady Help of Christians Chapel at 10:00 AM. Entombment St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Margaret was born and grew up in London, England during WWII and after her marriage, moved to Cheektowaga in 1956. She was a Life member of the U-Crest Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, a skilled ceramic craftswoman, a great rescuer and lover of animals, she supported the World Wildlife Federation, Erie County SPCA and The Buffalo Zoo.
