Sue Ham Obituary

Sue A. Ham, 56, of Springville, Iowa, formerly of Independence, died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following complications from leukemia.
Sue was born April 1, 1954 to Joseph Francis and Olive Adelle (King) Weber in Independence, Iowa. She attended St. John's Catholic School and graduated from Independence High School. Sue and Jeffery G. Ham were married on November 24, 1973, in Independence, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff; her daughter Bridgette (Dylan) Vascik of Olds, Iowa; her son, Sgt. Jeff Ham of Germany; 2 grandchildren, Annastacia and Garrett Ham; 2 sisters, Darlene (Tom) Anderson of Littleton and Louise (Junior) Johnson of Independence; a sister-in-law, Janet Weber of Independence; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Frank Weber. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2010, at St. John's Catholic Church in Independence, Iowa. Rev. Donald Plamondon will be the Celebrant. Music will be provided by Mrs. Bonnie O'Brien and the St. John's Choir. Casket Bearers will be Duane Bergom, Joel Johnson, Justin Arachikavitz, Dylan Vascik, and Dick Krempges. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery at a later date.
White Funeral Home of Independence is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call for visitation from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2nd, at the funeral home, where a Parish Rosary begins at 3 p.m. On line condolences may be left at www.White-MtHope.com.
A Memorial Fund has been established.
