WATERLOO – Allen Dean "Bud" Weeks was born August 30, 1935 in Brayton, Iowa, son of Albert James and Vera Ruth (Nelson) Weeks. He graduated from Hudson High School in 1954. Bud served his country in the United States Army in Germany from Dec. 2, 1954 through Nov. 17, 1956. On Dec. 28, 1958, he was united in marriage to Geraldine Faye Paton at the Reinbeck United Methodist Church. Bud went to work for Rath Packing Plant for 26 years while farming full time in the Hudson area with Geri by his side until his retirement in 2001. Bud was a gifted artist who also enjoyed reading. He was a big supporter of FFA and 4H as a means to share his love of farming with future generations. Above all, Bud was a loving husband, father and grandfather who attended his grandchildren's activities through fair and rough weather.
Bud died at the age of 80 years on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Northcrest Specialty Care in Waterloo.
