Obituary

JESUP – Ann E. Kennicott, 85 years old of Jesup, died Saturday, Oct. 6, at ABCM Rehab West Campus in Independence. She was born June 8, 1927, in Oelwein the daughter of Charles George Grasso and Rose Marie Latanza. On July 29, 1950, she was united in marriage to James Lou Kennicott in Oelwein.
Ann is survived by her husband, James of Jesup; two sons, Michael (Karla) Kennicott of Puducah, Ky., Tony (Sue) Kennicott of Solon; two daughters, Roxanne (Dean) Masteller of Jesup, Beth (Ken) Pridgeon of Austin, Texas; one brother, Tony (Nellie) Grasso of Hazleton and one daughter-in-law, Kathleen Kennicott of Dysart. She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Charles Kennicott; two sisters, Mary Grasso and Dorothy Yoch and one brother, Dom Grasso.
Services were 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10 at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup with Fr. Scott F. Boone as celebrant. Music will be by Monica Bengston and the St. Athanasius Choir. Casket Bearers will be Brent Kennicott, Matt Kennicott, Eric Masteller and James Masteller with Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 9 at White Funeral Home, Jesup. A parish rosary was held Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. and Vigil service at 7 p.m. Visitation continued for an hour before services Wednesday at the church. Memorials will be directed to the ALS Foundation.
