Obituary

JESUP – Arnold W. "Arnie" Weber, 88 years old of Jesup, died Saturday, April 21 at Cedar Valley Hospice in Waterloo, of natural causes. He was born Aug. 4, 1923, the son of Albert M. Weber and Loretta E. (Kies) Weber. On Jan. 5, 1944, he was united in to marriage with Camilla L. Delagardelle, in Gilbertville.
Arnold served in the Army during World War II and then farmed in the Jesup area.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Camilla; two sons, Michael of Gilbertville and Randy of Raymond and two daughters Sandra Beyer of Waterloo and Rosie Bloes of Gilbertville; two brothers, Ronald of Jesup and Laverne of Gilbertville; four sisters, Ella Even of Gilbertville, Norma Schares of La Porte City, Doris Brown of Dunkerton, and LaVonne Friedly of Waterloo. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Leo, Cleo, Raphael, and Stanley; and two sisters, Magdaline Wirtz and Betty Dilley.
Funeral Services were 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 24, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, with burial at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Gilbertville. Visitation was from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, where Rosaries were recited at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Visitation continued for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
