Berneice I. Anderman, 91 years old, of Independence, died on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at the Buchanan County Health Center LTC in Independence following a short illness. She was born on November 21, 1918, in Buchanan County, near Otterville, Iowa, the daughter of Henry Cleveland and Grace Marie (Andersen) Bantz. She attended school in Independence, Iowa. On November 21, 1935, she and Johnnie Olsen were married in Independence, Iowa.
He preceded her in death in 1958. On August 13, 1962, she and Ronald Charles Anderman were married in Independence, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1979. Mrs. Anderman was a home maker for her family and, for a short time between her marriages, she worked in the housekeeping department at Peoples Memorial Hospital in Independence. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors.
Mrs. Anderman is survived by 1 daughter, Beverly (John) Cassidy of Waterloo, Iowa, 1 son, Roger (Sue) Olsen of Hazleton. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Wilda Becker of Independence, Iowa, and Maxine Albert of Brandon, and one brother, Judd Bantz of Independence.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Dan Bantz, and three sisters: Ruth Cole, Jean Price, and Dorothy Hunemuller.
