Beulah Idelle Weston (1923 - 2013)

OELWEIN – Beulah Idelle Weston was born April 25, 1923 in Madison Township near Lamont, the daughter of Cutler and Mable Brown Weston. She graduated from Lamont High School in 1940, Moody Bible Institute of Chicago in 1945, and attended Trinity Evangelical College where she studied Bible-Hebrew-Jewish Missions.
From 1947 to 1953,Beulah served in Morocco, Africa under ""Gospel Missionary Union"" that is now known as ""Advant"" of Kansas City, Kan. She also served under the American Board of Missions to the people of Jewish faith in the states of New York, Arizona, and Los Angeles, Calif. In 1984, she retired to Lamont. She then assisted elderly persons in their homes at Oelwein and around the area.
Beulah entered into her eternal rest on Sunday, June 2, in the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home at the age of 90.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother, Keith.
Survivors include her five siblings: Raymond (Cathy) Weston of Independence; Lynn (Georgina) Weston of St. Helen, Mich.; Dorothy (Jerome) Kochka of Oak Brook, Ill.; Dean (Lula) Weston of Manchester; and Marilyn (Lowell) Smith of Pottersville, N.Y.; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, June 7, in the Grace United Methodist Church at Lamont with Rev. Stuart Schwenke officiating. Interment will be in Campton-Oak Hill cemetery east of Lamont. Friends may call from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, June 6, and after 1 p.m. Friday, June 7, at the Fawcett Funeral Home (Methodist Church at 745 Washington St.) in Lamont, Iowa.
