PHOENIX, Ariz. – Beverly Ann (DeGreif) Halbirt was born on March 16, 1963 in Independence, the daughter of Eldon and Shirley DeGreif of Winthrop. She graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1981 and continued her education at Kirkwood Community College. Beverly was united in marriage to Michael Halbirt on August 5, 2006. She worked for American Express as a Customer Care Professional for the past 16 years. She enjoyed camping, Fishing, NFL football.
Bev is survived by her husband Michael Halbirt of Phoenix, Ariz.; stepson Nicholas Halbirt of Phoenix, Ariz.; granddaughter Elizabeth Halbirt; mother Shirley DeGreif of Winthrop; Four brothers: Larry (Nancy) DeGreif of Lakeside, Calif.; George DeGreif of Cedar Rapids; Dean DeGreif of DesMoines and Fred (Joan) DeGreif of Wadena; Five sisters: Mary Freeman of Strawberry Point; Evelyn (Les) King of Independence; Laura (Mike) Rankin of Wheat Ridge, Colo.; Debra (Eric) Dunsmoor of Centuria, Wisc.; and Jennifer DeGreif of Winthrop; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eldon DeGreif; brother, Andrew DeGreif; and nephew, Christopher DeGreif (King).
