ARLINGTON– Beverly M. Postel, 74, of Arlington, Iowa died Sunday, Jan. 29, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.
Beverly was born on Nov. 13, 1937, near Reinbeck, the daughter of Cordella (Creese) Fuller. She graduated from the Reinbeck High School in 1955 and while living in California she attended the Antelope Community College in Lancaster, Calif. On Feb. 28, 1976 she was married to James D. Postel in Dubuque. The family lived in California prior to moving to Postville and then Arlington. Beverly was employed with Products Unlimited, and Agri Processors in Postville, prior to her retirement.
She is survived by five children; Michael Johnson, Loni (Randy) Thein of Arlington, Eric Johnson, Hampton, Ill., Chuck (Danette) Johnson, East Moline, Ill., and Sheri (Ed) Berinobis, Strawberry Point, Ia., eleven grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, and a sister; Shirley Ann Hagan, Grand Rapids, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James in 2008, and a son Gary Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Reiff Funeral Home and Crematory, Independence, with graveside committal services set for 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. till services Thursday at the funeral home.
