Obituary

JESUP – Carol Maxine Temeyer, 88 years old of Jesup, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at ABCM Rehabilitation Center – West Campus in Independence, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 10, at the First United Methodist Church, Jesup, with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Independence. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 9 at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, and for an hour before services Friday at the church. Carol was born February 3, 1929, in rural Black Hawk County, Iowa, the daughter of Irvin Williams and Clara (Miller) Williams. On Nov. 16, 1946 she was united in marriage to George H. Temeyer at the First United Methodist Church.
Carol is survived by her husband of 70 years, George Temeyer of Jesup; one son; Irvin (Portia) Temeyer of Iowa City; one son-in-law, Dan Rewoldt of Independence; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters: Leola Temeyer of Independence and Francis Ramsey of Des Moines; one brother, Roger Williams of Jesup; many nieces and nephews; and her dog Kealey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Narcie Rewoldt in 2015.
