Charles "Chuck" Hopkins (1933 - 2011)

The Guest Book is expired.

LOMA DEL MAR, Mexico - Charles "Chuck" Hopkins was born "on a farmhouse porch between Rowley and Independence Iowa," his exact words on Oct. 25, 1933.
After graduating from Rowley High School, he served in the army. He then graduated from the University of Iowa where he met and married the love of his life, Lavonne (Bonnie) Griffith. Together they loved their four children (Sharon, Curtis, Colleen and Dawn).
His heart was broken on his birthday Oct. 25, 1964 when Bonnie passed away unexpectedly at the age of 27. Chuck devoted himself to raising his kids alone while building his business of Hopkins Industrial Sales. He remarried in 1974 to Sandra Frosch and had a son, Travis Hopkins.
Chuck retired to Mexico in 1999 and lived year-round in Loma del Mar. He passed away on his sweet Bonnie's birthday July 6.
He will be missed by many friends, and family. His love and legacy will carry on through the love of his five children, 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
