Dallas Eugene Kirby, 31, of Anamosa died Aug. 31, 2010 at the Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.
Services will be 10:30am Wednesday at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Anamosa. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday September 7, 2010 at the Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. Internment will be at the Antioch Cemetery in rural Anamosa. Thoughts, memories and condolences may be left at www.goettschonline.com.
Surviving are his wife Becky; five daughters: Shyanne, Krystynna, Zabrina, Autumn and Nichelle all of Anamosa; his mother Phyllis Selck of Noel, Mo; three sisters: Jennifer Zieser of Lamont and Stacy and Sara Main of Independence; three brothers: Christopher Main of Mercer, Mo., Richard Main of Independence, and Justin (Dusty) Kirby of Noel, Mo.; eight nephews and six nieces; his father and mother-in-law: Kenneth and Cinda Petrick of Anamosa; his brother and sister-in-law, Chadd Petrick and Kayla Petrick both of Anamosa; a special person, Kathy Main of Independence and a special grandmother, Jeanne Hartwig of Anamosa. He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Kirby, Jr. August 22, 2003; 2 grandmothers Nellie Selck and Francis Kirby; a grandfather Delbert (Speck)-Kirby.
Dallas Kirby was born October 3, 1978 on Bells Ranch in Mineral Wells, Texas. He was the son of Delbert and Phyllis Selck Kirby. On March 8, 2008 Dallas and Becky Petrick were united in marriage at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Anamosa. Dallas and Becky were blessed with five beautiful daughters.
